Purple Spook-tini – CeeCee’s Kitchen
Drinks

Purple Spook-tini

Believe it or not, trying to make a purple drink that doesn’t taste like cough syrup is not as easy as it sounds.  While working on this one, I’ll be honest….the failures were truly failures. If the color was right, the flavor was sickly sweet.  If the flavor was right, the color was muddy and unappealing.    I think I finally got it, though, with the combination of Blue Curacao, Cranberry juice and cherry syrup.  Start with the less amount of vodka and taste for sweetness.  Add more if it’s too sweet.

Purple Spook-tini

  • 30 mL Blue Curacao (30 mL = approx. 1 oz.)
  • 30 mL Cranberry juice
  • 50 mL Cherry syrup
  • 30-60 mL vodka
  1. Fill cocktail shaker or glass 1/2 full with crushed ice.  Add all ingredients and shake or stir until outside of shaker/glass frosts over.

  2. Pour into martini glass and serve.

a shot glass with measurements will have mL on it as well as oz. and Tbsp.
